I've tied them before, but those were on some plain old Wal Mart hooks. 
:-P   That was a heckuva deal you and I worked out.  You got your jar of 
my hot pickles and I got a masterpiece Salmon fly in return.  

I chose the 3/0 hook because it's larger and shouldn't be too hard on my 
hands, like tying size 14 humpies is.
