Allan, I've never "poured" my own worms...so i really can't remember...I know for bulk manufacturing purposes they just add the amount of plasticizer they want and warm it up till it flows a bit and inject (one of my friends had a plastic bait business down here, which he eventually sold). I'd have to look at the kits to tell which part is which and how they work. Not likely to do so, since I've never been a grreat fan of worm fishing.
And, obviously, I've never used the stuff either.
