Wes, Flex-o is a braided flexibody-type material. It's very reminiscent of the old Chinese finger-trap weave, which compresses and expands when squeezed lengthways. All of the components are made up of flytying materials, and the color is many layers of clear flexible vinyl cement mixed with opalescent glitter and colored with pantone markers. It's like a 'Candy-opal' car finish when I'm done. Shaping the flies is a real trick and a Fantasy Fly Co. secret. The flies are very tough and durable, and could easily be fished. There's just too much work in them to fish them.
