Personally, I like the product.  You can just buy the clear and wrap it over a colored thread body to avoid having to buy a lot of colors.  It seems strange that there are not a lot of similar product as it seems to be just a round length of vinyl.  I'm wondering why there isn't a similar product that would be much cheaper in a craft store.   That being said, imitations tied with wire to get that segmented body look have caught a lot more fish for me than larva lace.  If I were making my next order to Lines End right now, I'd buy a selection of fine wire before larva lace and be certain to catch a lot more fish on the flys I tie.   Murf
