Thanks Jimmy
The temp of the Surface of the water here is only about 85,
I am still catching one ponders in the shallows on black leaches,
and I think that is because they think it is a worm.
I certainly don't know for sure.
I throw a lot of muddlers, that I have been tying up, no hits on one yet,
I am going to try to copy Dan's.
I really want to tie up a bunch of the crayfish that Ronald did.
I plan on losing a lot of those.
Johns Leach is hot,
I just can't figure out how he tied it off, yet, it was done,
Somehow he was able to whip finish it behind the bead, really neat job.

About your fly Jimmy, are you willing to share, how you did that?
I just notice my youngest daughter stole it again.
She really loved it.
She is a fly fisherman, and likes to show off to her teacher.

Subject: [VFB] Bass in hot water - was Just Asking

STEVE,

You have to remember that I'm in Central Texas. The surface water
temperature in our lakes is now nearing 90 degrees. The bass are deep,
in the cooler water. They do venture out into the shallows early in the
morning and late in the evening to feed. We're talking about a time span
of some 30 minutes each morning and afternoon for the top water bite.
 If you're late, forget it
