Just got off the phone with a friend of mine for the Conquistador
Council. Seams he wants to work with me as being an instructor for the Merit
badge. Said he would get back with me tomorrow, he had lost my e-mail
address. We had a good talk, he wanted to know if I would be interested in
working the Artesia, Carlsbad and Roswell area's. Told him yes, if I can
work it out. He is going to get me the info and paperwork as well as what is
required. Sounds like a fun deal to me if I can do a good job for the
scouts. Sounds to fun actually.
Question for the group, even though this is not set in stone yet, what
flies would you recommend and in what order? I would think wooly buggers as
a first fly then ????? The important thing to me is that the scouts at least
have a chance at catching fish on them. Hopefully we can incorporate a trip
to trout water for them. Don't know as I am evidently the first, (and only)
choice in the area, great to volunteer isn't it???
