My Norwegian is a little rusty, though. :-) So what is says is that all Europeas (except E7 and E9) have a wing of grey female duck breast feather? And what does "hale" mean? The description of the E12 says something about the "hale" which has to do with floating properties I think? I mean, if the Europea that I know of only came in 12th (last place)... the one that won the race must be a real killer. ;o) My email is: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thank you very much! /Nick -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Frn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Fr Vagn Hansen Skickat: den 25 augusti 2004 18:49 Till: [EMAIL PROTECTED] mne: RE: [VFB] Europea Hi Nick and the rest of you, This is funny. I asked the exact same question 6 month ago on another website. Nobody knew so I had to do a lot of investigation my self, I found a guy I Norway that had a little booklet with all the Europea flies in it, turned out that this booklet was Danish ?!?! I now have found the guy that has made the booklet and have ordered it from him, but he is able to deliver it until spring 2005. I have pictures off all the flies on my hard Drive, I can e-mail them to you if you want them. The list of materials you can find here : http://www.fiskesiden.net/fluehjornet/e12.htm (in Norwegian). The originator of the flies are : Andre Ragot, one of the 2 men who started the Ragot Company in 1933 and as of 1991 is owned by Rapala Group. I even wrote to a guy that works at the Ragot Company, but he didn't know the patterns, he does now :-). Well, that might have been a slight exaggeration, but it IS a popular fly here... and very often the answer to the famous question "If you had to chose only ONE?". But what about the other Europea patterns. Apparently there seems to be a series of Europea flies. Anyone on the list who knows where they can be found? (Preferably on the internet, of course.) /Nick _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail =====================Deze e-mail is door E-mail VirusScanner van Planet Internet gecontroleerd op virussen.
