The recommended thread that the Magic tool DVD has suggested is any thead that can be split easily. The Danville's works great. I also find that it you untwist the UNI thread 6/0 by a few reverse turns, that works great too.  In working with the Magic tool, I find that you can get great results just even using the 8/0 Uni thread but not splitting it and just putting the dubbing formed with the Magic tool in the dubbing loop. Can really see no difference between the split thread and the fine thread. Joyce
