A standard bronzed hook has a onw trip lifetime, even if it doesn't see the water, and other flies in the box do. They just rust too fast. I do use stainless steel hook ocasionally, but more often use Eagle Claw SeaGard hooks (some type of plating) and Mustad regular saltwater hooks (I believe they call their plating duratin). thenonly problem is that if you sharpen the hook points the hook ponts will start to rust...so i usually don't sharpen them. Bronzed hooks are not an option in my opinion.
