Sunday morning update on my son
Matt.
He made it through surgery and they are guarded
with the prognosis. We are not sure if he will ever regain the use of his legs
or not. Some damage to his spine but as far as I can find out it was bruising
not any torn. The Doctors said the procedure was successful, whatever that
means. He is alive and responding well, alert even after just being out of the
OR.
The good part is they removed the ventilator
last night. We had thought it would not be removed for several days. This is
very good news in my way of thinking.
An interesting happening was that with the help
and permission of staff, Matt's #1 field trial dog was snuck into his room.
Little things like this will help I am sure. I also copied and pasted all of
the VFB traffic to his mothers computer. There were 10 pages and she printed
them out so she can share them with him today.
There is nothing fishing related in this other
than all the fly finhing friends are having a definate and positive influence
on our lives.
One FF guy who lives in Omaha even visited Matt
and our family at the Hospital yesterday.

us.
