'Morning, everyone! Just a quick note to say that my birthday present from my wife is a trip to the IFTS show in Sommerset this next Saturday, complete with an as-of-yet undisclosed amount of "tying supplies" money to add to my current piggy-bank. I'm hoping to find a dun neck or saddle and some z-lon (or a decent substitute) there. I've never had either, and the lack of any dun hackle (well, dry hackle, that is - I have had my share of dun hen) has proven most interesting to say the least! Speaking of which, is there a cheap alternative to z-lon?
Mark R- I'm bringing a batch of those salmon hooks for ya' in various sizes, hope to meet up with you there somehow. I'll only be there saturday, all day.
Anyone who is going to this show, I'll be in a tan VFB hat, blue jeans, and a hunter-green flece jack- shirt. tall, red goatee, glasses... have no clue how else to describe myself, but that should do.
Take care and tight wraps, Pete

Hi Pete, glad you'll be comming. Looking forward to meeting you. As of yet,
i have no way of knowing where my table will be. My wife will be doing her
tying shift at the CFTG table on Sat. from 12:30 until 3:30 in the outside
hallway. She'll know where i am. She's Japanese, so you'll have no problem
spotting her. You also will have no problem finding the hackle. Try looking
for Charlie Collins. I just saw him in Danbury, Conn. this past weekend at
the show there. Spose he'll be in Somerset as well. He has really good deals
on hackle. You can probly get a good neck with the saddle for around $40.
Maybe less, maybe a bit more. I have bought any in a while, from him i mean.
Actually i haven't bought much dry fly hackle in a couple years, i have all
i'll ever need i think. Charlie gives great deals on hackle, (neck/saddle
pairings) though. mark....
