Kevin,

I would like to join this swap. The time frame is fine and I would like to see what you all fish for bass over there.
I'll tie some dear hair pattern.

Well, there seems to be plenty of other people out there waiting for spring and spawning bass! With the interest in the bass bug swap, I'll officially open it up for sign-up. Here's the info:

- Signup will be open until Dec. 1.

- Number of tiers - 10. Based on interest there might be more than one group, but because there might be a fair amount of work in these flies I will limit the number of tiers in any group to 10. If you have expressed interest in the swap I have reserved a spot for you, but please confirm that you will participate.

- Any floating bass bug pattern qualifies - deer hair, cork, or foam is what I was thinking for materials, but if you have another favorite pattern made from other materials please let me know. For example, I'll be tying a deer hair Dahlberg diver variation.

- Flies will be due March 1

- If you know what you're tying please let me know, but if you don't no problem - there's time to decide.

- Once signup ends I will send the shipping address off-list.

- As I mentioned previously, I'll make all swappers a bonus deer hair bug and the first flies to arrive earns an additional fly.

Let me know if anyone has questions. Looking forward to it!

Kev

Subject: [VFB] Bass bug swap interest?
Date: Fri, 19 Nov 2004 12:52:54 -0600

Hi all:

With spring looming in the distance, I wanted to guage interest for a bass bug swap.

I'm thinking about 10 participants with flies due late February to be ready for the bass to move back into shallow water fly rod range. Deer hair, foam, cork or any other bass bug materials welcome. I'll commit to make bonus flies for all participants and an extra prize for first to arrive.

If you're interested let me know and I'll take the swap off-list.
