DonO your point was not missed by me.

If someone has a problem with the way they tie their flies or the "level" they may think they are at then by all means don't enter a swap. I have been in a few swaps and I have received some flies that "sucked out loud," maybe that is why I have not been in any swaps lately. I am by no means a good tier, but I put forth an effort because I cannot and will not settle for anything less then my best. Now that does not mean I will hold others to the same standards I have set for myself. You cannot expect everyone to do their best either, folks will enter a swap and do enough to get by because they know the caliber of tiers on this list and they know they will receive a box full of wonderful flies for next to no effort.

Some may flame me but I don't care. If you will not put forth an effort then stay out of the swaps. I don't care what level of tier you are. If you are offended by someone expressing their opinions, tying or fishing related, then maybe you should say bye. All of us are not going to agree on everything said here, so what that's life. Grow up, get over it and move on. We are here to learn from those who have the experience we don't, weather it is coaxing a big brown up from the bottom of a deep pool or the best way for attaching a hair wing to a #20 caddis.

As for the perp boxes, they were supposed to be insured for about $200-$300, if I am not mistaken. So, if the boxes were mailed and insured who got the money?

Just my opinion,
Bart

P.S. I am with DonO on this one.
