I think you mean "The Jersey Herd" it used the copper coloured top off bottles of jersey milk.
BUT... do try using greenwells glory, tie it with a body of pure silk thread well waxed. it is one of the best flies in an olive hatch.

There's another UK fly meant to imitate a Stickleback minnow that specifies the copper colored liner of a milk bottle. My memory could be totally wrong, but I remember that fly as Greenwald's Glory.
Just located the pattern Greenwell's Glory, and nope, not the same fly.
