Well, the foam swap is coming to a close.
Most
everyone has sent in their flys (all are GREAT) and I
have had a
lot of fun hosting it. I feel a longing,
now that it is almost over,
and have decided to check
the list for one more go at a really cool swap
idea:
IRON CHEF FLY SWAP!!!
Some of you may have an idea as to
what this will be
about. Some of you may not. Let me
clarify:
I want no more than 15 people to sign up to tie 14
flys
that they have no idea they are going to tie.
That is to say, there will
be a secret material, to be
divulged on the 15th of March, that you must
use in
your creation. If you have never used it, better
start
studying! What could the material be? Possibly
fake eyes,
silver tinsel, green deer hair, gold beads,
peacock, turkey biots...The
list is infinate. I will
not make the secret material something out
of reach
for anyone...Not too obscure.
The key is to expand your
horizons. I love a
challenge and know most on the tying list here do
too.
I will keep the sign-up going until we hit 15 tiers
(and once
again hope we have Rene's photographic
help!) which should not be a
problem. No backing out
when you hear what you have to tie
with. If you don't
like the material, well too bad! Make a cool
fly out
of it.
So do I have any takers? Any less than 12 will
be
considered a no-go. No more than 15 please. The due
date on
this swap will be June 15th to keep the 3
month window open for those who
are busy.
