Just so you all know...........i've decided that since i'm calling the swap the "First Annual............." I will be starting a new one on Jan. 1st each year, and giving all participants one entire year to complete their flies. A new concept in swaps. Each year 5 new entrants will be added. So for the "working year" of 2006, (flies due Jan. 1st 2007) there will be 15 tyers allowed in the swap. For the working year of 2007, (flies due Jan 1st 2008) there will be 20 tyers allowed. And so on and so forth, until we reach a level where going beyond it would simply involve to much work and or expense. I see it leveling out at around 30 to 35 participants, in the year 2010 or 2011. I think that this way we can all grow with our continued particiapation and also allow others to join the fold as time goes by. You can also drop out for a year or two if desired and be automatically re-entered as a past particiapant upon request at the beginning of any given year. Any nessessary adjustments will be made as to adding new participants or NOT as required. Having a year to do your flies will also give you enough time to completely re-do any that do NOT come up to suff according to your own demands. Get one "Right" a month and anything beyond that is gravy, so to speak.......if you get my drift. But remember, the rules will remain the same.......ORIGINAL patterns ONLY! Size 1/0 hook or larger with a HUGE emphasis on blind eye shanks, and real gut eyes attached, but not an absolute requirment. Good luck. mark.....
