Hi Allen
My wife mows the yard and does all the yard work. You should have brought her up different. Maybe she brought you up.

Seven of us from our club (and a guest - a buddy i had worked with
many years) went chasing the white bass spawning run yesterday. Two
of our group had sink-tip lines and were able to get here flies down
deeply enough in the pools. They caught several of the finny
creatures. Unfortunately, I was not one of them. Just as i was
about to concede to my body's complaints about wading too long, I was
able to connect with a small (12") white using a white fly rod jig
(the only thing I could get "down"). All the guys (except my guest)
connected with at least one fish....although one fellow's lone fish
was a small smallmouth - and another fellow's lone fish was a 3lb or
so carp.
One of the guys said he lost count of the number of fish he had
caught. At dinner, he admitted that he lost count at 3,
A couple of the many locals who were out were fishing with VERY heavy
(huge) spinning lures and were cleaning up. I saw one of them
(fishing about 100 feet downstream of me) catch at least 30. in a
little over an hour.
But in spite of having the wrong equipment, it was an absolutely
gorgeous day to be out away from the noise and confusion (and lawn
mowing) of suburbia. If I get a chance to go back this week, I'll
definitely have a sink-tip line.
