DonO,
Personally if I was fishing the "lower, non-quality" water prior to
fishing the "quality" water and had 4 fish in my creel, I'd stop at
camp and drop those off... Because who's to say you "DIDN'T" catch
those 4 in the "quality" water and then you'd get busted for keeping
fish that was under the size limit of the "quality" water... But once
you have that "daily bag limit" of 5 fish, you're done for the day,
regardless, no can fish nowhere... Now there are ways to get around
all this... For example, you fish in the morning, catch your "daily
bag limit" of 5 fish, go back to camp, cook them up for Mom and the
kids for lunch, then go back out and get another 5 for dinner... You
have no fish in your possession when you go back out... Personally,
I'm a C&R fisherman... Yes I'll keep one every once in awhile,
because I love smoked fish... Put it in the freezer till I get a few
nice ones, filet them up and then put them in my smoker... For
example last week when I was up at the San Juan, I met acouple guides
I know after the day of fishing, had a couple "cold ones" and I broke
out the smoked salmon, cream cheese and crackers... It was quite a
treat for everyone and it was great... Some of their "clients"
REALLYBut I guess it's my ex-military background that I try my best to
adhear to all rules and regulations... That way the next person can
have just as much fun, or more then what I just experienced...
