Murf,

If you get a booth, he charges you, but the tier's tables are free, and you can still sell flies as you demo.  I've never had to pay to tie for him.  He is a good businessman, though- can't hold that against him.

P.S.  I like Chuck.  He's always been very generous to me.  At the first show that I tied for him in Denver, he gave me a corner booth right at the entrance to 'show and sell'.  At other shows, he makes sure I get a good table location.

Good ole Chuck.  Nice enough guy but I don't pay to tie for anyone.  Sure, I'll tie for free and give samples to any nice person but I happen to know how much he nets before taxes on certain shows.

Let the shops rake in the cash and pay for the space but I'll be damned if I ever pay for a booth to tie at unless I have something to sell and profit from.

Got a call from Chuck Furimski, asking me if I want to tie at the Somerset
Show on Nov. 19th & 20th. Will anyone from the VFB be attending this show?
Has anyone attended it in the past?

Looks to be a real neat show. The 'theme' is realistic tying. This one
would be worth a trip back east.
