Subject: [VFB] Tying tips of the day- rubber legs
For those that work with rubber legs, here's a few things I've learned:
^ Cutting rubber legs and getting them to separate without having to pick
them apart:
Put a marker line across the rubber legs (they usually come in a band
stuck together) at the length you want the finished leg, then put tension
on
the band as you slowly cut across at the mark. The ends will separate
from
the next one as they snap away when cut. Now you have all the ends loose
so
you can grab them and remove them from the band, and at the right length.
^ Stretch out legs before markering them with colors. Releasing the
tension
will make the colors very vivid. Can do this before step one above.
^ Tie knots in rubber legs to make joints
