Don, I won't repeat your entire msg but I think you misunderstood one line of my post. It was easy to do because I read it again and could see a possible misunderstanding. I was stating (firmly) that one would never find an entire neck with all, or even the majority of, feathers the same quality as hand-plucking. I have several Whiting CdL capes and have found a number of excellent feathers. I would never downplay or disparage Dr. Tom's incredible achievements.
