It's a scary tying room, Reuven. I promise you... you wouldn't want it. That was the first thing I thought when I saw it: "Uhhh!!! Wouldn't want that for all sand on Iceland!!!"........... but I sure wouldn't say no to all the stuff that's IN it.

Reuven, Tying time varies greatly for me, depending on the season, work load, Fantasy Fly or fishing fly orders, planned trips (where I have to build up my fly boxes), fly swaps joined, fly shows to prepare for, etc. A busy week might see 20 or more hours at the vise. Then there may be weeks when I don't even get to go into the room. As for flyfishing, it's an opportunity-based hobby now. I forsake a bunch of trout trips in lieu of a few saltwater trips each year. I really need to live on a coast-line somewhere- not Wyoming. But I really like it here, especially the part about very few people. If your spouse complains that you're a fanatic, do what Nick (Jester) did. He showed Teresa photos of my tying room, and told her the more she resisted it, the more he would want to become like Dr. D. She started to promote him in his tying/fishing, thinking the only way to save him might be reverse psychology.
