Ah shucks Jimmy, now my feelings are hurt...my name wasn't on your list!!!

I guess I will just have to continue to let the fish judge my flies as I have for the past 50+ years.

The tiers on this list and those whose flies I have received in swaps over the years are truly do an outstanding job.

Cheers, beers and tight lines,
George

Subject: [VFB] Who is / are the gbest tyers on the VFB ?

I nominate Deb Duran and Paul Marriner as the best tyers of Atlantic Salmon Flies. DonO for Mice and XLLLLL size flies, Rick Zieger - foam flies, Vlad Markov - super realistic flies, Joyce Westphal - intricately designed flies, Denny Conrad - woven mayflies, Bruce Whittle - woven stone flies, Mark Delaney - Bass Bugs, Tony Spezio - Chili Peppers, all kinds. I could go on and on !

I'm basing my selections on personal experience with the flies of the tyers listed above, I have received flies from all of them, either through regular fly swaps, Jody's Courage Swap, and Murf's Memorial Swap. Looking at a photo of a fly in a magazine just ain't the same as seeing a fly in person. I'm sure there are other great or greater tyers around, but this is my take on the best of the VFB.
Cheers !
