It's probably a two and half hour ride, and of course there's the tolls, but it's a much nicer ride than the turnpike.  And if you feel lucky you could always stop in Atlantic City.  I'm not sure how far in advance you need reservations for but there are some good restaurants there.   Jerry C "All things considered, I'd rather be in Philadelphia."
