The pointier the better for the smaller flies...gives more access. R ______________________________________________ Reuven Segal B. Engineering (Aerospace)- Final Year B. I don't know how much you will look at spending but you can get it for US$120 plus or minus a dollar or two. It is a sturdy, useful vice, comes with C-clamp and pedestal, rotates, etc. I am getting one as soon as I begin working in a month or so. Some of the more expensive vices look 'better' but it is a fantastic vice. I have used a dozen odd vices and found this one to be economical and overall fantastic, especially for the price(esp. if you buy t from tax-free Oregon). Other than that, if you need a cheaper one, go for the Thompson type vice. It does whatever you need and is much cheaper. Don't worry what people crap on about the head cracking and so forth. Unless you are tying SERIOUS numbers of flies, it will last for years and you can get cheap versions for pocket money. Let me know which way you head.
