Hey Larry, how you doin'? Yeah Stack's a very accomplished tyer of Atlantic Salmon flies, both traditional and originals. And Spey flies, which, are also Atlantic Salmon flies, but which have, in the last 20 yrs. more or less, become very popular for use on the west coast for Steelhead. Some tyers and fisherman have been using them on the west coast for that, for even much longer than 20 yrs. I have one of Stack's full dress flies framed in my collection and a few more unframed. I'm lucky enough to be able to see him and learn from him, at shows 3/4 times a year. There are a tremendous number of very good Spey fly tyers on the west coast now. I've taken several ideas from the school of Spey fly tying and incorporated them into what i consider my own style now. (Tony, speaking of Floyd Frankie.....you know he's my neighbor, saw his wife today at the post office lol. He is doing
much better, and is able to cast, teach, and is starting to tye a bit.) Stack is a dentist i believe... and lives in Nashville, Tenn. Very willing to share knowledge as well. Glad to know he'll be at the "Bug." mark.....
