I want the audio accessible as a device
so I can point ffmpeg or other encoders
to the video & audio input, and then I
can record .vob's or stream or whatever.

To date, I have to choose my soundcard with:

   ffmpeg -ad /dev/dsp2 ...

instead of being able to grab audio
from the v4l device.
