So, I have kernel 2.4.19pre4, and am using bttv 0.8.38, and I cannot change channels using my own code or xawtv during a streaming capture. I have the winTV without FM, if that helps any. No log messages in kernel /var/log/messages from bttv, other than bttv0: PLL: 28636363 => 35468950 .. ok bttv0: PLL: switching off when I use xawtv and none when I use my stuff (I use streaming capture to an xv window). I don't have time tonight to try to go through driver, but if Gerd could let me know where to start I would be glad to tomorrow. Chris
