library. This is probably the most interesting thing, if you want to
write programs that grab & control the camera.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/coriander for a program to control and
stream video from firewire digital cameras. This is a prepackaged app
that is nice to verify that your camera is actually working.

Thank you. I will definitely look into this. I am having email troubles 
at present. I can send email messages to the list but I can not receive 
any in return? This is all strange to me as this is a nuisance! I had to 
look into the archives to find that my messages were getting through.
