Hi, It seems that there is a bug in the bttv code with kernel 2.4.19-pre5
I'm using XawTV with FlyVideo 2000 card (not FlyVideo2000s) and this bug appears on 2.4.19-pre5. I tried RH kernel 2.4.9-31 and it doesn't appear there... The bug goes like this - if I load xawtv - I see picture but no audio, switching to another channel - gives sound back, but programs who use bttv to capture etc simply record silent in the video capture (with or without the btaudio module).. As I said - kernel 2.4.9-31 from Redhat doesn't have this problem at all - same config. my /etc/conf.modules related part: alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 bttv options bttv card=65 radio=0 tuner=5 pll=1 options tuner debug=0 XFree 4.1.0, Nvidia Geforce 2 with 2880 build binary driver.
