BT848 is a chip, not a card.  Products don't say "based on Bt848" on the 
outside, but many, many are.
If you download the bttv source code, or look at the source in a modern 
kernel like 2.4.18, then you'll see
bttv-cards.c which has a whole list of cards based on those chips. 
 Another option is to go to a store and look
at a card you like. Get the sales person to show you the card (ie. take 
it out of the box.)  
It will likely have a chip that says "Conexant Fusion BT878A" on it, 
which is a modern variant of Bt8x8's.

P.S. I have an ATI TV Wonder.  It has an 878A.   It doesn't work yet 
(locks the machine up solid on modprobe.)
