Hi, I am looking for a capture program that can record mpg4 or mpg1/2 and at the same time display via Xvideo from a v4l source (no v4l2). The whole thing should work with a 1200MHz CPU. The recording quality should be at least VHS level. I tried ffmpeg (all supported codecs) for recording and decoding with mplayer, but there seem to be problems with synching and maybe also with processor speed. mp1e would not record with the saa7146 (from DVB driver).
Any recommendations, or do I have to hack that myself. If so, what would be the best program to start from.
