[V4L] video capture / motion

Hey there everyone,

I'm a newbie trying to get this program, Motion, working.  I think the base of my problems lie in my graphics card, it's not configured properly.  When I tried to run xawtv this is the message that I got:

       This is xawtv-3.73, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.18-3)
       can't open /dev/video0: No such device
       v4l2: open /dev/video0: No such device
       v4l: open /dev/video0: No such device
       no video grabber device available

Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I have an ATI All-in-Wonder RADEON 7500
