Hi all,
I currently write a V4l2 driver for the DFG1394-1 frame grabber ( product-info
at http://www.theimagingsource.com/prod/grab/dfg13941/dfg13941.htm ), and
now I am wondering which colorformats my driver should support:
The native formats are GREY, Y41P and UYVY. But what kind of formats do
applications normally expect? Is it considered good style to provide at least
RGB24, or should I keep the driver completely free from color conversion routines?
( The V4L2 sample driver *does* convert colors, and the xcaptest sample program
seems to expect some RGB format ( at least, my current display results are a bit
wired... )).
Thank's for your advice,
Norbert
