I still can't get it two work.
Before I tried
modprobe bttv tuner=33 radio=1
when I launched the tv app I got a black screen with static at the top.
After I tried it, it was just blue.
My card is a pinnacle pc tv pro, pal version with a Termic tuner.

I'm sure i set the rest up right
Capture is set to Television, frequency table is western-europe, tv style is pal.
It so nearly works but not quite.

also the modules.conf file tells me not to edit it because it has been automaically generated.
so i don't really know what to do there either.

sorry, but futher help is required.
