Hi

I am new to the list, here is a unique problem that i am facing.

Problem Description:

I have a Pinncale systems PCTV Plus Indian Edition. The card uses Conexant CN878 chip. I have xawtv 8.3 installed on a Red Hat 8.0 box. I am not able to view any of the channels.

Things that are already done:
checked and installed bttv drivers. After doing modprobe tuner.o and modprobe bttv.o if u run xawtv and see the dmesg generated it says that "frequency out of range".
This can be ignored.

I went and checked up the source code for tuner.c and found a function set_tv_freq that throws this message.
I do not know how to fix this. There is no PAL-BG support also.

Previously i had Windows and Mandrake 9 on my comp, that time i could only view the last channel that i viewed in Windows. Probably windows set the freq in the function mentioned above and after booting into Linux that value is still there and u cannot change the frequency apart from the one sest by windows.
But now i only have RedHat 8.0 and no Windows and therefore no channels are visible.
Upgrade to bttv-0.7.103 and send "dmesg" output if it still doesn't work.
