You're on the wrong spot here. ;-). V4L2 covers *video*. For audio, you probably want to read the OSS or ALSA docs. You could also use a higher level interface such as Artsd, Esound, MAS or Jack (each of them implements an audio capture interface), or use GStreamer for the job.
