fbtv creating two processes

Hello,

fbtv, when run, creates two processes as follows:

  F S UID   PID  PPID  C PRI  NI P    SZ WCHAN  TTY      TIME CMD
000 S 501 23954   151  0  64   0 *  4524 wait4  tty1 00:00:00 fbtv
040 S 501 23955 23954  0  73   0 *  5583 read_c tty1 00:00:00 fbtv

Is this normal ? If not, what is wrong ?

Here is some system info:

- xawtv 3.12
- bttv 0.7.25
- kernel 2.2.14
- WinTV GO
- Matrox G400
