Hi Gerd,
  TDA9840. It is hardwired to stereo (0x2A) in bttv.c, but unfortunately
(at least mine) TV Phone 98 uses TDA9822 (non-i2c ...) for sound system
and is hardwired to mode which does not match with stereo/dual system used 
here in Czech Republic :-( Or at least I did not found GPIO pins which drive
this mode...

P.S.: At least mask in line above is wrong - GPIO pins 3,2 select input/output
sound connection, so both must be set for output mode.
