Hmmm, some months ago I had a StealthIII card with Savage4 chipset running
together with a LifeView FlyVideo card, and, in Windoze it wasn't useable this
way because the Savage4 drivers for Win9x systems suck badly. As for Linux,
those days it didn't work, either.... not with the 'Savage4-optimized' X-server
provided by Creative Labs or S3 itself (actually, those are nothing more than
slightly modified XF86-SVGA-servers...), and not really good with 3.3.6 on my
machine...

Yeah, that's what I would say. I'm now running an ELSA Erazor III card with
TNT2 chipset, and things work together perfectly with XF3.3.6 (besides, there
are even XF4.0 drivers for those NVIDIA boards but yet I'm short of time and
too lazy to build XF4 here. ;))) ).
