I apologize in advance for this strange request ...
We don't have any TV / cable feed here where I work, and the marketing types
here want a "screen shot" of CNN. Can anyone out there send me an image from
the CNN cable channel, e.g. one with a "talking head" and the stock ticker
underneath? The image should be (roughly) 640x480, 24 bits, in some
lossless format that GIMP can read (e.g. XWD or PNG). Hopefully someone out
there has Video4Linux and a cable feed, and would be willing to mail me such an
image as an attachment.
I tried going to www.cnn.com. They have video archives there, requiring
plugins that I don't have, and the quality would probably be low anyway.
They need the shot before noon US EDT. If anyone can help me here I would
appreciate it very much.
