Sorry, you are right. I just checked my last release version from last year.
There is a #ifdef OLDCLIP before my old clipping code.
Then comes the new code with bitmap clipping.
I think I took it from one of the kernel versions of bttv at that time.
I don�t know who wrote it or who was responsible for the bttv
kernel versions. I never had contact to the people who did that.
I just used to merge the interesting parts which sometimes appeared in
them into my driver version so that they wouldn�t diverge too much.
