Hi again,
I forgot to mention RealProducer, which is indeed a very good idea.
Here is the command I use for streaming the Composite1 input of my frame
grabber + the mic input of my soundcard to a RealServer.
VCAP_FORMAT=_my_video_format_ /usr/local/bin/realproducer -l 2:0,4:1 -s
"_my_real_server_hostname_or_ip_addr_/_my_real_server_stream_name_.rm" -u
_my_real_server_login_ -p _my_real_server_password_ -T 1,5 -b "_my_title_"
-h "_my_author_name_" -c "_my_copyright_" -vx
_my_img_width_,_my_img_height_ -q "_my_stream_description_"
Example:
VCAP_FORMAT=PAL /usr/local/bin/realproducer -l 2:0,4:1 -s
"192.168.0.1/birdhouse.rm" -u tweetie -p soupersekretpwd -T 1,5 -b "The
bird's house" -h "Xavier Wielemans" -c "alterface, 2K" -vx 360,288 -q "One
webcasted the cuckoo's nest..."
All this is as one single command line. All "_my_blah_blah_" fields are to
be instanciated by you, of course. And don't forget to have a RealServer
running before you launch the producer. For details about RealProducer
options, check html documentation included with it.
I use RealProducer & RealServer 8, and it works pretty well.
If more help is needed, don't hesitate to ask.
