I am working on a patch for Gerd Knorr's xawtv package, specifically the streamer program, to add QuickTime support. My code uses the QuickTime for Linux library, available at http://heroine.linuxbox.com/quicktime.html. Once the patch has been inspected and applied, give the xawtv configure script an argument of --enable-quicktime to, you guessed it, enable QuickTime. Adding QuickTime support to streamer allows one to easily create streams that can be manipulated with Broadcast 2000. Its also not a bad format. My patch is available at http://www.flyn.org.
