Is there any ongoing effort to produce a linux driver for the
Hauppauge WinTV PVR card ?
This card has a Conexant (BrookTree) 878 chip and a hardware
MPEG-2/MPEG-1 encoder chip (VisionTech Kfir).
There is a driver for another (unavailable) card based on
VisionTech Kfir at http://www.linuxtv.org/mpeg2.
This driver does however not work with the Hauppague card
(this other card does not seem to be bt878-based).
