I was really suprized when I read Changelog for latest bttv:
* enabled the avermedia tvphone audio hook. switching to stereo
should work now.
the problem is - switching to stereo works perfect with tda9840 chip,
after changing:
gpiomask: 12
I write about it some weeks ago, and there is "12" in bttv-cards.c now,
so for example bttv-0.7.52 works perfect
bttv-0.7.54 seems work well too, but after I quit xawtv - the sound is not
muted, so I must "rmmod bttv" to switch it off
I don't know where avermedia_tvphone_audio is needed, but it isn't in
AVerMedia TV Phone 98, at least in my model, with tda9840
