Please excuse my ignorance, but I hope someone has an answer:
1) What X library do I link with for Xvideo functions, for example
XvQueryExtension?
2) Where can I get this library? I normally use Debian. I believe I
have the "stable" xlib6g 3.3.6-11potato15 from Debian, but I think that
is XFree86 3.x libraries. (I didn't set this box up; it must have v4.0
server but v3.x client libraries.) I tried installing that package from
Debian "unstable" and got the predictable result: X didn't run anymore
and I had to recreate my disk. Hopefully I can get just the .so I need
somehow, e.g. download just that file. Or maybe I can easily install
both v3.x and v4.x client libraries on the same machine.
Thanks for your patience. At least these are different questions from
the usual "I just bought a WinTV card and it doesn't work" :-)
