Thanks, Justin. I just wanted to confirm it's most likely a hardware
failure, before I replaced it.

I've just ordered an STB DesktopTV card (Bt848, TV/FM, S-Video) from
computergeeks.com for $37, thanks to whoeveer posted that link. Can't go
wrong at that price!

I assume it'll work with bttv. :-)
