More sample V4L code can be found in the (GPLed) SPU-Toolbox package
(www.spu-toolbox.org). Video capture runs in its own thread, and the user
has a choice of polled or callback mode. It's been in use at
Carnegie-Melon and Lehigh University for almost two years now, so the code
should fundamentally be sound. (Famous last words!)
