Not sure what you mean with "interleaved".

What I mean with "4:2:2, packed pixel" is V4L2_PIX_FMT_YUYV.
v4l1 calls this VIDEO_PALETTE_YUV422.
V4L2_PIX_FMT_YVU422P (v4l1: VIDEO_PALETTE_YUV422P) is the same
format but planar, i.e. the luma and chroma data isn't mixed like
in the packed format, but you have extra planes for them.
